DECATUR, IL, [11-04-2025]– Staley Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Joseph Springer to Vice President of Lending Operations. Joe brings more than 20 years of banking experience that includes retail banking, lending, management, compliance, and security.
In his new role, Joe will oversee and enhance all aspects of the credit union’s lending operations. His priorities will include strengthening member-focused lending processes, supporting the lending team’s professional development, and ensuring that Staley Credit Union continues to deliver competitive loan products with the high level of service members expect.

Joe holds a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking and a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Business School of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He has been involved in leadership with the Boy Scouts of America for the past six to seven years and has mentored Scouts as they earned the rank of Eagle. A lifelong runner, he has also volunteered as an assistant coach with the Decatur-based youth running group, the Staley Striders. Joe has called Decatur home since 2005. He and his wife are proud parents of a 16-year-old daughter, a 12-year-old son, and two dogs.
