We are excited to announce that Sonja K. Coon has been named our new Mortgage Loan Originator! Sonja began her tenure with Staley Credit Union on May 16, 2022 as a full-time consumer loan officer at our Woodford branch. She brings a wealth of knowledge having over 30 years’ experience with conventional, USDA, FHA & VA mortgage loans.
Sonja is very active in the community. She was a Chamber Ambassador for many years, has served on the board for the Metro Decatur Homebuilder Association, volunteered for the Decatur Celebration for 7 years, and is active with her children with PTO, softball, volleyball and baseball.
In addition to these volunteer efforts, Sonja has also served on the Staley CU Community Outreach Committee since its inception in 2022. She’s helped the committee coordinate multiple volunteer efforts ranging from preparing & serving food at The Good Samaritan Inn in Decatur and a successful Health & Hygiene Drive that helped raise over $3,050 worth of donated goods.
