Full-Time Opportunities

Staley Credit Union is currently seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to fill a position in Decatur. The Assistant Branch Manager will achieve organizational goals; participate in the implementation of organizational strategic plans; ensure the branch is in compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate desires to take charge of their career to help lead a branch of a growing financial institution and help take their branch to the next level of performance and results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and monitors front-line teller activities, helps monitor new account and lending needs to ensure they meet organizational objectives and adhere to all SCU policies and procedures.
  • Monitors Staley Credit Union's leading quality standards and takes action to resolve problems in the manager’s absence.
  • Helps train all branch staff to provide high level, consistent services to our members while creating a relationship-based sales and service culture at the branch.
  • Dual responsibility with Branch Manager for the cash position of the branch including the cash vault, cash recyclers, ATMs and ensuring proper balancing of all teller cash drawers.
  • Assists Branch Manager when necessary to complete assigned projects and goals associated with Member Services.
  • Ensures the branch is in compliance with all regulations relating to deposit programs, transactions, BSA and lending.
  • Assists members with financial products and services to help achieve member's financial goals.
  • Promotes the use of technology based financial products and services to current and prospective members.
  • Seeks to grow the credit union by obtaining new members and increasing wallet share of current membership.

Qualifications:

  • Experience – Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education – Some higher education preferred but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Interpersonal Skills – The ability and desire to continuously learn new job functions and technology offerings, and relationship-based service to our members requiring a significant level of integrity, diplomacy and trust.
  • Maintain confidentiality and tact with members and staffing related matters.

  • Competitive salary ($40,000-$50,000 based on experience).

Part-Time Opportunities

In this role, you will be the face of the credit union, assisting members and potential members with financial transactions, answering inquires, and promoting our products and services. If you have strong customer service skills and a passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist members and potential members with financial transactions.
  • Provide accurate information about credit union products and services including some of the highest tech banking solutions available.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance services to members.
  • Assist with account maintenance
  • Handle cash and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for all members.
  • Become a product knowledge expert to help members get more value and convenience out of their financial experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months previous experience in banking, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with financial systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays, as needed.
